This image was hair raising to say the least ...

Here's another new(ish) image from Krista Smith called Lottie.

OMG the curls, what a tricky image to colour.  I recall her hair taking me approx 3-4 hours and I'm still not loving the result.  However, this is the fun of a colouring hobbie, I can always set myself a challenge and have another crack :)

This is Krista's colouring of Lottie - I love this (I think she may be coloured with pencils?)

More amazing images ....................

At the moment, I am on a roll in colouring new images from Krista Smith.  I especially love the Snorkel girl.  At first I didn't know if the clown fish was swimming past or was it trapped in her goggles he he.

Thanks for stopping buy to visit my colouring hobbie.

Return of the Slinky Tart

I still have a stash of Slinky Tart images by the lovely Tamara Van Wijk that I am yet to colour.  I cropped this image as I just adore her pretty face and rock-a-billy hair do.

Happy days everyone x

Time for some magic and sprinkles of fairy dust ...

Here are two of my recent colourings, and I'd have to say two of my favourites.  There is something magical and mystical about these beauties.  Enjoy x

Images courtesy of the amazing Krista Smith.  These were images from Krista's days as Saturated Canary.  You can find Krista now at Wonderwall Workshops - all the links are on the right hand side of my page.  I'm sure she'd be happy to have you join her new art adventure.

More colouring fun ...

Okay, so I am totally addicted to my colouring again and doing it digitally is a lot of fun, and it takes me hours and hours to complete an image.  The fun part is if I make a mistake or don't like a colour, then it's so easy to change without starting all over again.

The images below are from Krista Smith and Tamara Van Wijk (the mermaid).

The first image started with a base of light blue followed by dark blue and apricot streaks, then I kept blending and shading and this is the end  result.  She has such a beautiful face.

Digital Art - Loving my new Samsung Tab S4 and the Auto Desk Sketchbook App

I am new to colouring digitally, but I have now found a new way to colour my enormous collection of images.  This new app has all my copic pens and every tool I could ever imagine.

Here are my latest colourings from Krista Smith at Wonderwall Workshops, Saturated Canary, an image from The East Wind and an original piece that I did all on my own (the waterfall).  Enjoy.

Design Team Update

As from 30 October, I have decided to (reluctantly) relinquish my position on the Slinky Tart Design Team for purely personal reasons and the need for a change.

I have been struggling keeping up to speed with working full time, being a soccer mum to two young boys, running a clean functioning house, fulfilling my DT role and being active behind the scenes and have felt like I needed some timeout.  I first started colouring because of anxiety and depression and I am feeling the affects of increased anxiety of late which puts me under more pressure.

I still love the brand and will follow the girls and friends that I have made through Slinky Tart.  I will still colour the odd pinup from time to time as I dooooo love pinup art.

I will still be around, just having a rest and colouring at a different pace xx

A big thank you to Tamara, Slinky Tart Artist for her belief in me as a colourist and the amazing opportunity to work alongside her.  Mwah xx
