DT Inspiration - Slinky Tart - 27 March 2015

Hi all, today I am proud to showcase another CAS card as a DT member for Slinky Tart.  This fabulous image is "Culinary Claire 2.0" from the talented artist Tamara van Wijk.

 

(Again, I cannot always comment specifically on the brands of papers and materials used, I will detail what I do know.  I have such a big craft stash I don't always know the brands of items and paper that I've gathered along the way.)

In creating this card I have used a Sizzix die-cut to frame this little beauty.  I have then mounted her on various scraps I found and also embossed one of the layers.  The sentiment is my handwriting which translates to "Want to Lick my Spoon" in french.  For those who know me well, know I love Paris and want to visit France for my 50th birthday.  The thin gold washi tape is from "Close to My Heart".  I found some appropriately coloured embelishments, and who doesn't love a Pink Eiffel Tower.

 

 

As I coloured this beauty before becoming a DT member I failed to write down her Copic Colour Combos.  If any one is desperate to know skin or other colours, I could possibly provide that on request.

I also love to experiment with backgrounds and I couldn't help but think Claire needed to be surrounded by melted chocolate.  I apply random backgrounds with the use of Picmonkey.

50 Shades of Smexy

Over the last few weeks I've been busy turning some of my coloured images into cards.  The following image is called "50 Shades of Smexy" which is a totally cool image for that special someone in your life.  I've made my card an anniversary card :)

 

 

Again, this was an earlier colouring (before becoming a DT member) where I didn't write down all my Copic colour combos.  However, if you stick with your favourite skin and hair combos you can't go wrong.  For some reason I just had to use a red ribbon to add to her naughtiness lol.

DT Inspiration 13 March - Slinky Tart

Hi everyone, today I am proud to showcase one of my first cards as a DT member for Slinky Tart.  This fabulous image is "Cut the Crap" from the talented artist Tamara van Wijk.

Whilst I love to colour, my cards are considered CAS (Clean and Simple).

Whilst I cannot always comment specifically on the brands of papers and materials used, I will detail what I do know.  I have such a big craft stash I don't always know the brands of items and paper that I've gathered along the way.

In creating this card I have fussy cut the image quite broadly and mounted her over three layers of patterned papers.  There is a sentiment to the left of her arm which says "Best of Luck" but the gold embossing hasn't showed in the photo.  The thin copper washi tape is from "Close to My Heart".  They have a great range of sparkly washi tapes in both thick and thin form.  And I was lucky enough to find some gold scissors to embellish and add to the hair dressing theme.  I used my Sizzix to add some swirly patterned fun (that's a techincal term lol) and this was the result.

I have many hairdressing friends, so this image will be very useful for me at birthday times.

Congrats to me - hip hip hooray

For those of you who follow my hobbie, I have been colouring images for Slinky Tart for some months now.  Well the other night I received an invite from the Artist, Tamara van Wijk to join her Design Team and work with the other girls.  I was sooooo honoured to be asked to join the team.  Sometimes it's the little things in life that mean the most.

Now that I'm a fully fledged Design Team Member I will be showcasing papercraft projects as well as my colourings on a regular basis.  So watch this space.  I do now promise to include more detail regarding materials used and colour combinations.  Up until now, I admit I get a little lost in the moment and forget to write it all down.  I'll be more focused I promise lol.
