DT Inspiration Slinky Tart - 24 April 2015

This amazing image is "Pain in the ...." from my uber favourtite Artist Tamara van Wijk of Slinky Tart.

This week I get to showcase the saucy little lady on a CAS card.  I am a simple card maker, I just can't master all the frillies and flowers and layers, although I've tried.

I made my card for a "Happy Anniversary" occassion.
Let's face it, partners are a pain in the ..... lol (at times).

I just loved colouring her and I loved the way her hair turned out.  I must admit I have a bit of a hair fettish.  If I don't like the way I colour the hair, I normally hate the rest of it lol.  And I love love love her cheek bones and her gorgeous face.  I guess this stems back to my make-up fettish also.

Hope you like my DT colouring and card inspiration for the week.  Be sure to drop by regularly for other projects and inspiration.

If you want to purchase this digital image, just navigate your way to the shop on the bar on the right hand side.

Spring is here

This digital image is the gorgeous Aurora Spring Butterfuly from The East Wind.  I have entered this card into the Mini Challenge over at the facebook page "Outside the Lines".  Whilst I coloured the image some time ago, it was time to turn this little gem into a project.

Design Team Inspiration for Slinky Tart - 10 April

This is my third project as a DT member for Slinky Tart.  This week I am showcasing the smexy and seductive little "Keeley".  I have made her into a card to imply she is missing her man and celebrations will be had when she catches up with him lol.
I really do love this image, she is fun and flirty.

My card is about as fancy as I get.  I'm a CAS girl :)  I like to keep it simple (truth be known, I can't do fancy ha ha).  I'm dreadful at keeping brand names of papers and embelishments, not even the embossing folder has a brand on it.  So I am sorry that I can't provide those finer details.  I really am all about the colouring.  (But again, in this instance, I coloured this image pre DT position, and failed to note the copic colour combos).  You will find other images on my blog where I have started listing this for those who like the colour information.

Hope you like this little creation xx

(You'll find a badge on the right hand side of my blog which will take you directly to the Slinky Tart store where you will find Keeley and lots of other Smexy digital images).

An experiment :)

Tonight I have tried something new. I've coloured the new "Angel Ann" image from Slinky Tart in monochromatic with a hint of pink to her wings and lips. I love to experiment. Hope you like her, she is certainly different and outside of my comfort zone.

The colours used are R20 for her lips and wings and the entire Warm Grey range of Copic markers.
Watermark and cloud background added through Picmonkey.

Saturated Canary making a Splash!

I have had colouring withdrawals from my other favourite brand, being Saturated Canary.  I had been meaning to colour this image as part of a Colouring Challenge but ran out of time.  This gorgeous image is "Beach Pretty" from the amazing artist, Krista Smith.

DT Inspiration - Slinky Tart - 27 March 2015

Hi all, today I am proud to showcase another CAS card as a DT member for Slinky Tart.  This fabulous image is "Culinary Claire 2.0" from the talented artist Tamara van Wijk.

(Again, I cannot always comment specifically on the brands of papers and materials used, I will detail what I do know.  I have such a big craft stash I don't always know the brands of items and paper that I've gathered along the way.)

In creating this card I have used a Sizzix die-cut to frame this little beauty.  I have then mounted her on various scraps I found and also embossed one of the layers.  The sentiment is my handwriting which translates to "Want to Lick my Spoon" in french.  For those who know me well, know I love Paris and want to visit France for my 50th birthday.  The thin gold washi tape is from "Close to My Heart".  I found some appropriately coloured embelishments, and who doesn't love a Pink Eiffel Tower.

As I coloured this beauty before becoming a DT member I failed to write down her Copic Colour Combos.  If any one is desperate to know skin or other colours, I could possibly provide that on request.

The blog for Slinky Tart is here at http://slinkytart.com/Blog/

I also love to experiment with backgrounds and I couldn't help but think Claire needed to be surrounded by melted chocolate.  I apply random backgrounds with the use of Picmonkey.

Thanks for stopping by - creative hugs xx

50 Shades of Smexy

Over the last few weeks I've been busy turning some of my coloured images into cards.  The following image is called "50 Shades of Smexy" which is a totally cool image for that special someone in your life.  I've made my card an anniversary card :)

Again, this was an earlier colouring (before becoming a DT member) where I didn't write down all my Copic colour combos.  However, if you stick with your favourite skin and hair combos you can't go wrong.  For some reason I just had to use a red ribbon to add to her naughtiness lol.
